Absolutely fantastic!! The playlist and new choreo brought big smiles. It isn’t possible not to feel the joy radiating from Marnie all class; it’s infectious. Even the challenges had that just have to smile, can’t believe how much it burns effect. I will be returning to do class again very soon, and to do parts of it as mini classes/ad ons (the 3lb arm dance, the plank dance, the ab series..). It all truly is so good!

Oh Mary Ellen..you are such a loving person and the grief you are feeling is a reflection of that. Your connection with your friend was so powerful and that is beautiful. I am sending love and compassion as it is a raw thing to sit with and hold grief. You aren’t alone. 🤍

What a great functional booty class! I loved the stand to floor moves (standing glute lovers and floor glute lovers unite in one class). Legs front and back, hips, and of course the whole booty is incorporated. It always amazes me how those standing postures with one leg static makes the cheek burn like nothing else. Heads up Marnie has an empowering monologue on the second leg that means you will be in an elongated lunge pose fighting for your life and you CAN do it, relief is coming and it is so good 🔥 🙌

What a great class! It felt intentionally sculpty with the heavier weights and elongated classic barre postures. Nothing like Marnie to remind you all you need is to hold your body in stillness to feel things shaking and strengthening. The focus on breath work I found so unique and purposeful to this class and it made it an extra great for me. It was such a welcome tool to calm the mind and body using that brain power to match counts and breath to exertion. Please keep that coming, loved it. And the baby bear planks and ab moves with the ball under the hips, yesss.

Loved this one. Coming back to take it the second time I liked trying different weights and leaning into some of those unique subtle things. Like holding onto the barre with both hands for oblique lifts, and placing the ball slightly higher up the back for that goal post weighted move. And the playlist?! So good!

Ooo fun and Violet, barre sweat at its finest. Class went by so fast!

Thank you for sharing your experience so bravely Jemily . You have put into words something that is very relatable. The replies ahead of me are so well articulated and given with such genuine compassion and support. Reading them made me understand what you all describe really is common, and after thinking about this since it was posted I am sharing some of my thoughts.

I think the hardest part of movement is allowing yourself to be in your body. It’s harder even then the physical work. The mental, emotional, and spiritual work this practice requires is truly challenging. Mbody done as its intended isn’t possible without connecting to your mind (and thus your heart, feelings, soul whatever you think of it all as). It is why it is so truly growth inducing, healing, and brings wholistic wellness.

Introspection can feel overwhelming and scary. It brings the anxious thinking you describe which brings up connected feelings. I have all of the array of feelings every single class I think. My head is very active with thoughts and the practice for me is noticing them, allowing them, and continuing to be in the moment. In my body following the choreo and cues despite all the whirling happening in my head. The nervous system rewiring is why I get to the mat as consistently as possible despite what feels like a fried nervous system 😅

This was great. I loved the new moves and the focus on specificity with the light weights. Dancers Arms classes support the ability to lean into full expression without that sometimes overwhelming feeling of maxing out with a prop. There’s a sense of freedom and release to it.
