I really enjoyed this class. The new choreo felt refreshing for my mind and engaging for my body. Nailed it with the theme. All throughout class the cueing took me back to ā€œpurposeā€. What’s the purpose, my purpose, what can I do to make it purposeful in the way I choose. Also, shoutout for the ball under the foot ab move, it’s a favorite of mine.

Loved the brain engagement with the props and the new choreo. Had to laugh at myself when the ball went flying out of my hands. Had to feel proud of myself after the lunge to knee lift series because those heavier ankle weights bring IT. Ending with connected abs and thinking of stretch instead of sculpt was so calming. (Even if for that final count of 8 it was more like I was fighting for my life; I tried so hard to channel the ease that Marnie cues). I really like the structured sculpt meets calm variations of cool down for these shorter classes.

I feel aligned when my brain is engaged in choreo and calm confidence arises that allows my body to harness strength. It’s a lovely place where my head is quiet(er) and I’m in the present. In this state I can embrace physical and mental challenges without doubt or fear. This serendipitous flow like way of being can be a bit evasive and tricky to nail down. The classes that I have found myself lately in that place have been slow sculpt vibe classes with novel choreo and props. Slow Sculpt 474, LI Full Body 466, Movement Ball 513, Graditude Sig 502, FB Sculpt 519. I’ll stop.

Next month’s theme…

Fantastic class! Brain tickling cardio dance and the best weight variations for lunges and wide second (oh hi obliques). The flowy barre combos were SO good; familiar but slightly varied as Caroline mentioned, in execution and sequencing. Loved the ball balancing ab moves and would love to have more of them please :)

Mary-Ellen, here with you, heart to heart. At a loss for words, and am humbled by your honesty and courageous outreach. We all need each other. Letting one another in is far stronger than stubbornly sitting alone and hoping it lessens. Sitting with you.

I loved this one, strengthening and grounding. So engaging for arm and back muscles especially and the best brain work.

Rochelle, you can always swap days and do longer classes when you have time. That is what I find works for me 😊

Fantastic class. Loved the bouncy dance to some firery songs and the glider work standing and floor. Interestingly my first leg, the left, was a to almost crumble feeling on the last standing glider set. I needed to listen to it and lower to the floor more slowly to transition to plank even though it put me a few beats behind.

After that series, Marnie serendipitously cues that we need to listen to our bodies not discipline them. I especially needed to hear that and let that sink in. My sweet knowledgeable body was just talking to me and today I listened without too much berating or shame based thoughts of ā€œweaknessā€. Practice and progress, I think.

I can confirm lovely sisters, light weights feel great during the punch series if you’re looking for that feeling on a particular day!
