Hi fam! I have been out of the game for almost 2 years now. I hit some pretty intense depressive episodes and had a tough school year (as a teacher). This challenge is coming when I need it most. I have been wanting to get back to the mat, but my own doubts have held me back. This summer I’m moving past those negative thoughts. I’m getting into gardening to enjoy life outside in my relatively new house. And I’m coming back to the mat starting Monday. Wish me luck!

I just got a lovely reminder that my puggy in heaven still has a post on this platform getting likes (thank you!).
And since the M/Body fam loves our furbabies, I will share that I’m a volunteer at Pug Nation Rescue of L.A., and we have plenty of pugs, pug mixes and pug-adjacents looking for homes.
The Ewoks in the first pic were just saved from a shelter; I am the honorary pug parent (HiPPo) to the two puglets sharing the car seat in the second (I take them on outings once per week); and the last little puglet was born at the rescue along with siblings that are still available (I transported this one to the East Coast to go into foster through another rescue) — get this: a pug/pittie mix!

this pride season, some things were taking with us are gratitude, joy, and resilience. in this climate, it can be really scary to be who you are. but we have each other to lean on, and queer joy is resistance!
