Day 2!

Taking a page from Mel and writing my goals down here and sharing with all of you as I want to honour these goals:

1 - Mental - moving my phone outside of reach so I don’t scroll at night or in the morning

2 - Emotional - start journaling in a way that feels meaningful and not forced

3 - Balance - avoid placing so much emphasis on food. I want to take into account how I feel verus preconceived notions of what I should be eating

Happy challenge! This is my 4th challenge!

I’m going for 60 days because I love the routine of making M/BODY a priority. It helps me in all aspects of my life!

❤️

Hello Fam! Catching up at my own pace with the challenge. I’m committing to 30 workouts. Have 2 done so far. Still recovering from a big virus I had last month and working my way up to longer workouts. So glad for all the 20 and 30 minute options on this challenge! High fives to you all!

1: Leave my phone outside of my bedroom Sun night - Fri night so I don’t scroll before going to bed at night or before getting out of bed in the morning. (AKA Dont cut into exercise time.)

  1. Cut back on eating out. Goal is one meal out and one i-didnt-pack-a-lunch trip to the grocery store near work per week.

  2. Send a card/write a note to a friend each week.

Doing tomorrow’s posture workout today, instead of the m<45, practicing one of my super goals: GRACE for myself during this challenge. I know so many of you have the same type of goal- solidarity!

Thank you all as always for all the support. I feel like I haven’t gotten back and reciprocated that support as well as I should, and I want to acknowledge that and work to be better!

I usually try to time my workouts with nap times, today it didn’t pan out but it felt great to still show up. Not as meditative as normal, but at least it was a cute distraction ❤️ and true to this season of life!

I lost track of the day between cleaning and some work catch-up and almost didn’t work out because I wanted to watch a movie instead. But I reminded myself that I really want to do this and I’m glad I followed through! I feel so much better after a session.

My main goal is to manage 30 classes and my super goals are:

  1. Stretch and do my PT exercises every morning

  2. Be OK with not working out for two weeks after my surgery in late November. It’s not being lazy and losing gains, it’s recovery and letting my body heal!

  3. Make more time to read instead of scrolling social media aimlessly. Specifically, finish at least two books by late November.
