Yay summer challenge!

My goals for this challenge:

  1. Each day do some form of meditation, even just paying attention to my breath. I need more calm in my life and slowing down is harder for me. So maybe just some slowing down all around would be good.

  2. Complete 60 days of the challenge but to be kind to myself and listen to my body, being flexible with myself and not always doing impact because my mind says β€œit’s better” or doing a shorter workout if that’s what my body needs. Resting on actual rest days.

  3. Being intentional about seeing good things, calm things, peaceful things, funny things, and living in those moments.

I enjoy the benefits of all M/body does for my body and I’m going to be more mindful of what I let it offer my mind and heart. ❀️ Much love fam!!

I am in the middle of a super grief-filled and hard season, so this challenge comes a great time. I am looking forward to the structure, the support of being a part of a community, and reminders to be in the light.

My goals are simple:

  • focus on form over speed

  • complete the 60 day challenge

  • and most of all- be gentle with myself while I am on this journey.

I finally started the challenge today and I did Saturday's live! I feel very satisfied and proud of myself because I was very tired but it gave me life!!

So excited for these next 60 days! Love the community support we all bring to achieving our goals. ❀️ I’m going for 30/60 this time around, just knowing how busy I am going to be. But any more will be an added bonus!

Also ne_w_ goal that I just thought of:

  1. See a new movie there times a month. Anyone else pay for AMC Stubs only to let it go to waste? πŸ˜‚ I need to start using what I pay for and seeing movies in theatres. Any movie fans in our fam? Message me to chat new films!!! I love hearing recs!

  1. Do at least 30/60. If I manage 45 it will be an added bonus. I am on vacation with family but packed my weights, and am excited to use them! A year ago I felt intimidated by every arm series and did all of them without weights, but now they're my favorite.

  2. Which brings me to my next goal, which is to get to the same place with planks and push ups. I will do it the same way, meaning, I give in and rest when Im at the point of losing the form. And that rest means one set.

  3. Prioritizing the right macros in my meals to feel energized and stable throughout the day bloodsugar-wise with less sweet cravings. This is, consciously, an ongoing project supervised by a nutritionist since a couple months back.

Hi beautiful fam! So happy to be starting another Challenge with all of you! This time around I'm keeping my goals really simple. #accountability

1 - Don't put my health / myself on the back burner.

2 - Stay consistent.

3- Drink lots of water and get more sleep.

Hey challengers! This came at the perfect time. I had an emergency appendectomy about a month ago, and I’m working to be more intentional about rebuilding my physical and mental well-being. So I’m committing to 60 days, and allowing myself to choose active recovery with stretch/ flows/ a good walk when I need it. πŸ₯°

Here are my goals!

  1. Complete 4 sets of 8 during the plank and core series, choosing modifications that make me feel the most connected to my body and the moment. (*My inner monologue tends to take over and tell myself β€œI cannot,” but I’ve grown confident in my toolbox and my ability to tune in to where my body is at and what it can do today.)

  2. Focus on my breath work, especially into my pelvic floor, and allow my hips to loosen up. My hips could use some extra love and release.

  3. Read 10 pages of a self- improvement or drama therapy book everyday. πŸ“–

My 3 goals for this challenge are:

  1. Continue to remove expectations and workout in a way that is sustainable, modifying where necessary to ensure that I progress in the right direction.
  2. Begin to implement measures to be more mindful. Take my lunch break one day per week instead of eating in front of a screen and meditate once weekly.
  3. Practice gratitude. Write at least one thing daily to be thankful for. I chose this goal because I have noticed that, since caring, I experience a sense of foreboding joy too often.

Keeping my goals simple and ongoing for the challenge this summer season. β˜€οΈ This summer I intend to have a spirit of fun, play, and joy. Typically, summer is a difficult season with anxiety but this year I'd to change that by taking those painful memories and feelings bringing them into peaceful meaning.
