Update! Thank you for all the love and positive messages, it helped so much this last week with healing and waiting for results. Surgeon messaged this morning-No Cancer! I’m exhausted from worry, elated with relief, and grateful for the opportunity to get back to my life. Please continue to get checked and take care of yourselves. Can’t wait to feel the strength and love of M/BODY classes again, I’ve been missing it so much. Sending all the love and thanks 💗😘

Been fighting the anxiety / low self esteem monsters this week. But managed two 60 minute work outs and aiming for another tomorrow morning. The longer workouts really are a bit of mental health medicine. Love to all of you! Emily

Hi fam! I never post but I just wanted to share that I’m turning 41 on Wednesday. I’ll be working in the office so I won’t make the live but will certainly catch the replay. Also using this opportunity to share this picture of my cat Penny since that seems like the kind of thing we do around here. Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians. And happiest of birthdays to all the other Libra squad who seem to be well represented here.
Dearest M/BODY fam,
I’m going on a little health journey and since it’s October, breast cancer awareness month, I wanted to share it with you. In April I shared with some M/BODY fam that I was going in for a needle biopsy, the fam gave me the strength to face it with strength and positivety. I waited all summer to consult with a breast surgeon, misunderstanding that this was because they found calcifications that were suspicious and they wanted me to go through the next steps. In August I was given a new mammogram that found another suspicious area so I had another biopsy. This time I felt brave enough to handle it, worked out and really leaned into the posture classes etc and I bounced back in week and no cancer. But now I’m facing an excisional biopsy surgery to remove the lump so that they can study it and find out if it is cancer. I’m extremely lucky that I screen every year and that my health providers are so cautious. While it doesn’t alleviate all my fear, I’m grateful for science and medicine in case I’m faced with more difficulty. I wanted to share with you because I trust all of you, and you’ve given powerful strength and light when it’s needed. So next Wednesday send a little power to your girl, and let’s hope for a clean bill of health. I won’t be able to get back to the mat for a few weeks but I’ll always be there in spirit and of course on the playback, I’ll miss it terribly but this is temporary. My sweet girl Lou and I love our mornings with Marnie. Lou is 6 months old and has been watching M/body workouts since the day she came home. 💕
It’s been a busy few months and have missed the last several lives and I’m feeling it! But managed to make the house a little spooky this week for the kiddos. Thankful for the opportunity to keep coming to the mat, even if it’s at 9:30pm some nights ha. Happy Pumpkin Season! 🎃
