This last weekend we went out of town and took a longer than expected hike, 7 miles! I did it all wearing my little one! A testament to the power of barre and Marnie 👊🏻
Hi Fam! Putting this out there because I can’t figure out what might be going on. Has anyone ever experienced pain or tingling on their ankles? I have been noticing that I get a sharp shooting pain when I shift a lot of my weight into my right ankle for one legged standing balances or lunges. I’ve always had some level of issues with the Achilles and also just surrounding tendons due to poor form on releveé, however this is the first time I have any sort of numbness. Wondering if it’s just an overuse injury or something more serious. It’s a cycle that tends to happen where I have no problems for months and then it flares up so badly I need to take time off from standing barre workouts. Any advice or insight is much appreciated 💜

I don’t post my kiddo on my public IG but I am one proud momma! Today my 5.5 year old finished his second 5k AND he earned third place for boys under age 12! Eli kept a great pace even after skinning his knee, and he was so determined. When he said he was tired or was expressing frustration or doubts he could do it, I was reminding him we need water breaks and we can adjust the pace, and quoting Marnie’s mantras of “we can do hard things” and “as long as we’re going in the right direction it doesn’t matter how fast or slow we are going.” For a competitive racer that wouldn’t apply, but for our purposes it’s perfect. I like modeling and engaging him in healthy habits, and even though I still don’t like running I’ll always run for a cause (today was pancreatic cancer). I’m sharing as I’m proud of him AND b/c M/BODY influences me on and off the mat (and trickles down to my little one).
I love the class today! Marnie we can see you are feeling much stronger! That's so great ! The feeling that our strenght and force are coming back to us after some healing rest! I just wanna say that i sweat as i didn't in a long time and that felt amazing! And the music was perfect !
Another favorite 60 min! The abs/floor series was incredible and what a release that was laying/sitting on the ball. I need to do that every day. AND I cannot wait to exercise with Marnie, and as many of you from the global fam as possible, in NYC 😍I’m not sure my heart can stand all this excitement - it might just burst!
Anyone else dissolve into hysterical giggles and flail around on the floor like an upturned tortoise whenever Marine does an ab move that defies the laws of physics? Or just me?
