Hey challengers! This came at the perfect time. I had an emergency appendectomy about a month ago, and Iโ€™m working to be more intentional about rebuilding my physical and mental well-being. So Iโ€™m committing to 60 days, and allowing myself to choose active recovery with stretch/ flows/ a good walk when I need it. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Here are my goals!

  1. Complete 4 sets of 8 during the plank and core series, choosing modifications that make me feel the most connected to my body and the moment. (*My inner monologue tends to take over and tell myself โ€œI cannot,โ€ but Iโ€™ve grown confident in my toolbox and my ability to tune in to where my body is at and what it can do today.)

  2. Focus on my breath work, especially into my pelvic floor, and allow my hips to loosen up. My hips could use some extra love and release.

  3. Read 10 pages of a self- improvement or drama therapy book everyday. ๐Ÿ“–

Thanks for everyone sharing their goals! Theyโ€™ve been so inspiring to take in ๐Ÿ’—

My 3 goals for this challenge are:

  1. Continue to remove expectations and workout in a way that is sustainable, modifying where necessary to ensure that I progress in the right direction.
  2. Begin to implement measures to be more mindful. Take my lunch break one day per week instead of eating in front of a screen and meditate once weekly.
  3. Practice gratitude. Write at least one thing daily to be thankful for. I chose this goal because I have noticed that, since caring, I experience a sense of foreboding joy too often.

Keeping my goals simple and ongoing for the challenge this summer season. โ˜€๏ธ This summer I intend to have a spirit of fun, play, and joy. Typically, summer is a difficult season with anxiety but this year I'd to change that by taking those painful memories and feelings bringing them into peaceful meaning. Cheering you all on- I believe you!ย

  1. This challenge I will continue to allow myself to be seen; physically through pictures, verbally through live chats, this board, and IG, and most importantly and most vulnerably through allowing myself to connect with you all.
  2. I will continue to work on calming my body with physical reminders and releases. I can control my shoulders by letting them drop, my hands by letting them unclench and release, and my breath by focusing on sets of 4. I will ride the waves of anxiety and continue to recalibrate my nervous system.
  3. I will look to no longer save the good or special things for an unidentified time in the future or for someone else. I will light the candles for myself, put on the cost too much pink workout shorts to be alone in my house and plug in the twinkle lights to stretch, eat the raspberries and buy the dark chocolate and eat them off a dish. Seems small but itโ€™s small I seek.

So this next challenge I want to make myself a priority and try very hard to stop the negative self talk. I am shooting for 60 days because I deserve to hit the mat for the next 60 days. Wishing everyone that decides to do the challenge positive vibes and even lots of love for those fam members that opt out of the challenge this time as well. Love Rochelle

For this, my 6th 60 Day Challenge, I am committing to completing 60 workouts, 45 of which will be selected from the challenge boards. With previous challenges I have both benefitted from and enjoyed fully immersing myself in the challenge. However I am starting this challenge from a place of finding joy in choosing a video and getting to the mat and feel that this is something I would like to bring with me into this challenge. Committing to completing 45 challenge board workouts allows me to benefit from the challenge curriculum whilst also providing me with 15 opportunities to choose a video from the catalogue. It is also my hope that this method will make it easier to return to my current routine when this challenge is complete. Since the activities are an aspect of a challenge in which I have previously experienced the most growth, I am committing to completing as many activities as I am able to, with a minimum goal of 45.

Prior to the start of this challenge I experienced a few weeks in which my panic disorder was at itโ€™s worst. I therefore wanted to choose challenge goals that would both be of benefit to me after this period and still be achievable if things became difficult again. This led me to the following goals:

Do 1 thing that brings me joy each day.

Complete 1 breathwork class each week.

Typically stretch classes are the ones I find the most challenging. In the past this has meant that I only completed a stretch class if it was LIVE or scheduled in a challenge but in recent months I have been working to change this. In order to continue with my progress, my final challenge goal is:

Keep up with my routine of completing 1 stretch class each week.

Happy Day 3 challengers. This time around I have a laundry list of ideas or habits that arenโ€™t serving me. This is the perfect time of year to shrug those off and usher in thoughts that better serve me. Some highlights: letting go of the fear of being alone, letting go of internalizing othersโ€™ stress/struggles and making it my burden (at home or mostly at work). Ushering in: taking a moment before I react (taking away the anxiety to respond immediately), commitment to be more present in the breathwork (not thinking of whatโ€™s next on my to-do list), seeking out more opportunities to be in the light for >10 minutes first thing in the morning, read more/scroll less.

My goals are simple (but not easy):

  1. Be consistent 2. Be present 3. Be patient with myself (the caterpillar did not become a butterfly overnight)
