Hi Fam,

The titles already gives it away, but can you recommend any books? I decided to cancel all my supscriptions and read in the evening inseatd of watching senseless tv shows.

So I thought I simply ask you 😊

Oh I read almost everything except Crime or horro books but feel free to recommend anything maybe someone else will love it.

Reaching out in gratitud for being part of this challenge.

It really helps to built consistency and mindfulness.

Yesterday I got to revisit the M/<20 Ballet Sculpt/ 182 and Marnie asked a question at the end of class -What is blooming in your life these days?- I thought about this flower that I get to see blooming each year it just happened to open its petals up with perfect timing.

And then I thought

-May my petals be open to every season of life and come back stronger each time-

As of Wednesday of last week I was feeling under the weather therefore I couldn't come to the mat until today. It doesn't take long to become "lazy" and overthinking the : should I do a workout or not!! Finally I made the choice to do day 12 today and then I was motivated to continue on to do day 13. I'm feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and energized at the same time. Thank you Marnie for creating workouts that are adaptable to our mood and body in that moment! I will be back on the mat tomorrow xo

-seeing 3 friends this past weekend: a beautiful and pleasantly challenging hike with one, an arts festival with another, and coffee with another.

-an extra day off (today!)

Today I chose to complete my favourite class, M/<60 LIVE NEW YORK BARRE SCULPT /194, because I am celebrating 100 days on the mat! This is the first time I have achieved this in the 2.5 years I have been subscribed to M/BODY.

Not all of these 100 days looked the same. Some days I chose a M/<60 SIGNATURE, other days I chose a M/<10 STRETCH FLOW. There were times when I chose to do all the jumps, times when I chose heavier weights and times when I utilised all the modifications. Many of the days were a mix of all of the above.

However one thing that is true for all of these days is that I am grateful for each one.

I have never been a consistent journaler, feeling like I need to relive my days on paper always just made my hand cramp and gave me a strange anxiety but I started reading “The Book of Delights” by Ross Gay last month which is a beautiful book of essayettes he wrote based on keeping a list of his daily delights for a year—so I was inspired to start my own little book of delights which has turned into just a bullet journal of gratitude, things that bring me joy in the day to day and I’m loving this format so so much. I hope you all find moments of delight today and everyday, they are always there whether tiny or massive or few or flowing <3

These past 2 weeks I have been grateful that:

  1. I chose goals that were achievable as it has been enjoyable to engage with them.
  2. I continued with growth that I achieved during previous challenges e.g. I started the challenge by sharing a selfie.
  3. By engaging with the activities and my goals, I have finally taken steps towards habits that I need to get back to/ want to try.
  4. I ended June feeling more present and closer to my usual self on the mat that I started it.
