My chat box was missing during the live, so I’ll share my thoughts here. Today’s live was so joyful! The dancer in me loved the set of choreo that took me back to my high school jazz class days. Thanks, Marnie and team!

Renewal 

The word renew can mean to make like new or to restore what's been worn out. It can also mean resuming after a pause or break. Even more so, the word renewal can be defined as, "changing into something new and different, something better." 

When I first joined M/BODY in February of 2022, right after the Superbowl, I remember simply falling in love with this work. I just felt like it spoke to me- an instant connection. I was so excited and full of vibrancy day, after day. It was the coolest to meet others who loved celery and lemon juice too. To attend Q and A's feel so much love and support from women I've never met in person but felt very comfortable around. And to be cheerleaders for others makes my heart soar! It's something my soul will always cherish.  

Therefore, after a year filled with hardships, that I had to pause M/BODY for a bit, I am renewing my love for learning in this space. Going back to that phenomenal  February 2022, that made me even more so in love with dance, movement, and music, I am renewing that feeling and allowing it to grow into something new and different, and something better. 

Thank you M/BODY G-Fam and to the team especially, for the space to be honest, raw, and messy and yet still feeling beautiful in the midst of it.

Anybody else deal with a leg disparity or flat feet? Am curious how yall modify for them while working out. My feet are getting stronger which is helping my hella low arches, but they still ache for some of the moves. And I do use a pad for my shorter leg to stand on but not gonna lie, my shorter side is still stiffer compared to my longer side. Do yall worry about muscle developing differently on either side, and how do you adjust? Am curious to hear your experience. Thanks!

Quick question- which workout(s) would you recommend for someone recovering from being 😷 sick and it’s their first workout back? Not feeling like jumping around but determined to move their body and show it some love and gratitude for getting you healthy again. Thanks ☺️

For anyone needing help picking out a class, bc let’s face it there are so many!
I just finished 145! It is a great shorten (45 mins) signature class with a great barre section and lots of ball use throughout the class! 🩰👯‍♀️

Question for the mommas out there:
Did you do the jumping/detox exercises when pregnant?
I did these before pregnancy and they feel fine now. But I get nervous because some sources online say avoid jumping.
Sad because I love getting those dance cardio and detox videos in they cheer me up!

Happy 2024!! 🥳 Started off the year with a knockout sweat class to shake off some nerves about giving birth to twin boys this year (likely this month!!). Such a great way to start the year! Hope everyone has a wonderful day today!

This box breathing that Marnie was talking about last week is really coming in handy!! Breath in for 4 hold for 4 exhale for 4 hold for 4. Or is it 5? Anyway… this has been so helpful this week. Had it been for you?
