What a great reminder how things can change- dramatically- as you are incredibly dedicated to movement and exercise now. Congrats again on the promotion!
Wow, you have created what you dreamed of and knew was meant for you, even when it didn’t seem like it could work, and even when you received messages that said it didn’t fit some of your family of origin’s narrative, or their love and acceptance is conditional. And yet you continued knowing you deserve to create a whole- being love and family of your own based on authenticity and unconditional love. So beautiful, Rochelle! I’m so glad you didn’t settle for what wasn’t right for you, even if that was scary/lonely/unchartered territory.
PS- don’t be afraid of the length of this video. The workout is a little under an hour and then there is a beautiful talk about self-love and self-acceptance of our bodies and our being following the cool down stretches.
I failed too. 😂 You’re so right about spelling; he’ll ask me to look one up, but I’m going off of how he is saying it (not always correct) and the spelling is not always intuitive. I am smiling at how many of us can relate to loving a Pokémon-obsessed kiddo.
Lol these kiddos and their Pokémon! Y’all are giving me too much credit, I don’t think I passed the quiz. But I did multitask like a boss, during cardio no less, so that was my win! 😂
FULL Body workout! Marnie was citing moves from her 2005 days and yet there was some choreography that was new to me. It always surprises me how quickly time can pass as there is a flow and always a change to keep it moving. I continue to appreciate the form reminders (pushing hip back instead of to the side in warmups for example).
Those road blocks are so frustrating and longer work hours are no joke on the body and psyche. But you’re here! 👏Keep taking care of you and cheers to the last 2-ish weeks of the Challenge.
🙌 Beautifully said! Thank you for sharing and showing up, even when it changes and shifts. It’s always cool to hear M/Body OGs and see so many who are still slaying it.
Ugh, sorry for the illnesses and injury Becca! That stinks on so many levels. I echo what Lindsey said; I honor your ability to listen to what your body is telling you (rather than what you are telling your body to perform- as you already know and have shown up for 60 day challenges in the past [heeeey!!]). I sometimes forget the wisdom available to us if we’re quiet and receptive to it. Sending healing vibes and giving you props for knowing what you need and adjusting accordingly. I think more so than not, our goals shift as our journey progresses. That is VASTLY different than quitting or giving up. We are meant to bend and sway, so as not to break. 🖤
