New M/Body Mini to join the fam soon
Dear GFam💗
Just wanted to share my happy news that it looks like a little baby boy is going to join his big Sis Lily and the global M/body Fam around the end of October/early November.
Any pregnant mamas out there-Marnie’s workouts are designed in such way that I was able to exercise up until my due date with my first pregnancy two years ago. I have been trying to follow the same curriculum as last time but my body does feel a bit more ache-y than last time-maybe because I also have a toddler this time round haha🤣.
As Marnie says motivation is a verb and movement creates movement, and I 100% feel better after a workout. Pregnant mamas, what are your current fave workouts?Sending you lots of love💗xxx

Does anyone have any sage advice for turning 40? It’s coming up next month for me and suddenly my social media feeds are saturated with posts about getting ready for perimenopause 😂😭! Some things I’ve been pondering in particular:
- do I need to add anything above and beyond MBody? I read so much about weigh lifting but honestly I find it tedious. I’m hoping that MBody regularly should be enough to maintain muscle mass!

-any advice on leaning into natural aging? I don’t see myself going the proceedures route because of some health issues. So I’m sticking to over the counter stuff, supplements, and healthy eating. And maybe I’ll try frownies finally lol.

-anything else? Things that felt helpful at 40? Style tips for finding that sweet spot between too young and too old?

Thank you! You’re all such a fantastic group, and I’d love to learn from the best (plus social media is so negative on all of this stuff most of the time!)

Some questions for Marnie and the fam!

Hi all, I'm looking for some wisdom! When I started M/Body in the fall, I first fell in love with the cardio-focused/sweat classes, especially those with jumps and other ways to focus on bone density. It's the first time I've felt really comfortable with doing more impact and it felt so good. In the last couple months, I've started having the tiniest of right knee pain at very specific moments, mostly going down stairs or doing lunges with my right knee at the back or all the weight on my right knee like in side lunges. It's so slight it's not even "pain" so much as a little twinge for one moment, but it's definitely not the good kind of ache. So I've really eased off the impact and the cardio, and that's been tough for me after seeing so much mental growth since the fall. I've never had knee stuff before! On the plus side, I've fallen in love with barre-focused and arm-focused classes, and that has been amazing. So I have a couple questions:

1) For Marnie and the M/Body team: Do you have any recommendations for me with this knee thing? It doesn't bother me at all to go for long walks or do wide seconds; it's really back and side lunges. I've been wearing a knee brace and that helps a lot, but I still am very cautious about messing it up.

2) For Marnie and the M/Body team: Do you have classes you recommend for bone density focus while I'm being cautious about impact? I still want to prioritize this!

3) For the global fam: I'm going to be traveling a bunch this summer and would love your recommendations for classes with minimal lunges and impact that are mostly standing! Until now, dancer's legs and cardio dance classes have been my go-tos for travel but that doesn't seem like the best option for me right now.

Thank you all!

My amazing, goofy, and above all so so loving father passed away recently. He gave me and my family so much, so much love and care. He showed us and told us all the time how important we were to him. He would scream it from the rooftops! He taught me so much about life and I am who I am today because of him. He taught me to love so loudly. Always growing up he would say, “you got this kid remember you’re a Lohmeier!” I’m trying dad. It gives me comfort to know he will always be a part of me and love cannot die. He was the best Papa! Always up for horsing around and willing to play and do whatever Greyson and Emmarie asked him to. They were his pride and joy, truly. He was like a big kid himself, the connection he had with them was incredible. He supported Chris and I through so much and sung our praises as we navigated parenting and life in general. He encouraged us to lean on each other. He reminded us always that he is here for us. I’m sad and so many things with not getting enough time. It would never be enough time, but man I know it always was quality time, so much of it. Today my dad would have called me and he would have sung happy birthday with all his heart in a fancy singing voice. He would fill me with all kinds of loving words. I will remember his words, voice, smell, laugh, and love always. I know dad, it all lives in me still. It all lives in my family. I love you Dad, to infinity and beyond, and beyond infinity. Xoxoxoxoxoxoxo❤️

So glad to participate in the challenge even with two newborns and a two year old! Even though most workouts had at least some interruptions, I was ALWAYS happy to be able to get to the mat. ✨So thankful to do this together!

Marnie’s talk about the coming months and class needs had me thinking about how amazing a Lymphatic system focused class would be!
Maybe like a 20-30 minute series where you walk through the lymphatic drainage massage from the other days class then do some shaking and moves that help promote drainage, and end with a legs up the wall meditation?!
Just a thought for a healing and restorative class as we move towards cooler weather and darker days!
