Today is a day I’m filled with a lot of grief, mostly about motherhood. It was a challenge to encourage myself to get to the mat, but I went anyway. Marnie got me in my body. I’m grateful I can also land here, in the community. Motherhood is tough, life is tough, and that’s a beautiful thing. Thank you Marnie and this community for allowing the difficult times to be beautiful for me 💚
It has been a minute since I have been on the platform. I missed the fam, and I finally got in my first workout this morning in the new house! But holy crap, our new carpet is SLIPPERY! What is the best mat for on cushy carpet? This is very different from my crappy apartment carpet 😅
You guys! Is anyone else SO SORE after that knockout sweat? 😂 my husband and I did the live together and two days later we’re both still waddling around the house and grunting every time we sit down or stand up 😂 must’ve hit my muscles different than our usual workouts! 🤍🥲
Hi Everyone! I hope that everyone is well. I have been dealing with lots of work and stress, and lost my exercise regime. I am determined to get back on track. I felt my head relax when I did the classes. The movements and positive vibes are helpful when the mind is in a vice grip.
I know any of Marnie’s sessions could be used to rid ourselves of stress and anxiety, but I am curious if a session could be dedicated to anxiety that focuses on moves that calm and heal the emotional center? I love the anxiety meditation Marnie offered a while back and I just thought it would be awesome to have a workout dedicated to calming the sympathetic nervous system on those days when we are feeling a bit high strung and need some movements to wind down and re-center ourselves.
I’m turning 40 in June and have been on a two year process in self-love and healing. (Actually this journey has been life-long, let’s be real.) This has included exercise (of course) but in the last few months I’ve explored some breath work and am returning to journaling.
Today, in anticipation of the live, I journaled about my body and my experience with M/Body. How healing the work has been, how aligned it is w my entire journey to self-love, down to the balancing of masculine and feminine energy and the protective circle of energy we make around ourselves at the end of each class. The workouts help clear and quiet my mind, make me feel strong, and are helping to heal decades of disconnect from my body.
I am working towards being excited about this new chapter. (Gulp.) Knowing I am going into it stronger, in part thanks to Marnie and M/Body.
