Amanda, this is so real and relatable. I know I struggle with thinking I should be able to do all the things at full capacity, at all times. I’ve been working on letting go of that expectation of myself. What I do to strengthen my rational side is to use a tool that I learned from a Life Coach named Natalie Hoffman. The model is CTFAR. Circumstance (whatever the circumstance that I find myself in). Thought (my belief about the circumstance). Feeling or Emotion (that stems from my thought). Action (what I do when driven by the emotion). Result (result of my actions). I journal, talk or think this model out. The cool thing is that though we can’t always change our circumstances, we can change our beliefs about them which impacts everything else.It helps me!
