I took a screenshot of this in November 2022. I still have it in my Favorites and I have lost count of the number of times I have reread it.❤️

Yes Chantale!! I’ve been on a getting-back-to-the-mat journey, too, and appreciate just how difficult it can be to show up when the emotional motivation and physical strength just aren’t what they were. But you did it!! You showed up for yourself, you chose your highest good and, my love, even if it doesn’t feel like it just yet, we are another day closer to feeling fully back in it!🙌❤️

Lindsey you are amazing!! I’m just getting back to the mat following nose surgery (not the glamorous kind😂) and am literally taking notes on this! Thank you!!

Such a good question! The move/position that just isn’t my love language is when we do a deep lunge (usually moving up from back knee on the floor) and add in front foot releves usually followed by small bounces and arms up. I can usually get through a couple sets of 8 but my hands are almost always on my front leg or the floor before the end of the position. When I started M/Body my edge was just holding the position using my arms to support myself, so the bar was set pretty low (😂), but I have continued to challenge which “options” I incorporate and how many rounds I do with my arms up, and every now and then I’m able to do an entire set with Marnie. Definitely still one of the moves that I remind myself I “get to do,” not “have to do!”

Hey sweet fam, thank you all so very much for the love and support!! You guys are just the best!! The operation went smoothly, zero issues with anesthesia (hooray!). Recovery has been a bit challenging so far (I feel like hammered crap to be completely honest), but I’m staying on top of my meds and my amazing parents are taking care of me and my kiddos until I’m back on my feet. A lot to be grateful for!! Again, thanks so much for keeping me in your thoughts. I truly felt safer going into it knowing the energy you were sending my way.❤️❤️❤️

Trigger warning - anesthesia-related trauma

Hi fam,
Gosh I miss being with you all at our lives!! I hope you’re all practicing some self care, hitting the mat when you can, and always being in the light. ❤️❤️ Can’t wait to be back together in November!!
I could really use some love tomorrow (Friday). I’m going to have my deviated septum fixed. It’s been a long time coming, and honestly the commitment I have made to my health through this incredible community has played a big role in me deciding to finally just get it done (that and hitting our deductible this year😉). It’s a pretty straightforward, outpatient procedure (although they do have to break my nose to fix the underlying problem!😵‍💫), but eight years ago, when my sweet mini Cassidy came into this world, I was under-anesthetized for an unplanned c-section. I’m sure you can imagine how traumatic that was, and it has made this feel like a reeeeeally big deal. Anyway, knowing that my fam is sending some love and light my way would mean so so much. I’m going to be away from the mat for a little while, but I have to say that the recent post with suggestions for avoiding inversions as well as the coming back from being sick suggestions are going to be my go-to as I continue healing! Feeling our entanglement. 💫
Love you all bunches and bunches!!xoxo
