Hello from the French Riveria!

Hi fam - Monique S let me know that you all sent me a lot of birthday love in the live chat yesterday! At the time I was mindlessly strolling that Promenade Anglais in Nice! I just wanted to hop on to say thank you for the birthday wishes. I appreciate you all so much. I feel very fortunate that I was able to celebrate with my husband and Aubrey on a trip of a lifetime in Europe. We are having a great time, but I am also looking forward to getting back to the mat next week. I am sharing some photos for those of you not on IG.

Hey fam - I FINALLY did the 60 min signature Taylor’s version this morning. I have to have gum surgery today (ugh!) so wanted to start my day with some sweaty joy… wish me luck. I was thinking of using my recovery after as a chance to work through all the healing hips … or any other great gentle stretch classes you recommend??

In response to what we would like to see more of, the knockout sweats are my favorite! And classes based solely on stretching and meditation or restorative. Also the XXX! Haha!

Some questions for Marnie and the fam!

Hi all, I'm looking for some wisdom! When I started M/Body in the fall, I first fell in love with the cardio-focused/sweat classes, especially those with jumps and other ways to focus on bone density. It's the first time I've felt really comfortable with doing more impact and it felt so good. In the last couple months, I've started having the tiniest of right knee pain at very specific moments, mostly going down stairs or doing lunges with my right knee at the back or all the weight on my right knee like in side lunges. It's so slight it's not even "pain" so much as a little twinge for one moment, but it's definitely not the good kind of ache. So I've really eased off the impact and the cardio, and that's been tough for me after seeing so much mental growth since the fall. I've never had knee stuff before! On the plus side, I've fallen in love with barre-focused and arm-focused classes, and that has been amazing. So I have a couple questions:

1) For Marnie and the M/Body team: Do you have any recommendations for me with this knee thing? It doesn't bother me at all to go for long walks or do wide seconds; it's really back and side lunges. I've been wearing a knee brace and that helps a lot, but I still am very cautious about messing it up.

2) For Marnie and the M/Body team: Do you have classes you recommend for bone density focus while I'm being cautious about impact? I still want to prioritize this!

3) For the global fam: I'm going to be traveling a bunch this summer and would love your recommendations for classes with minimal lunges and impact that are mostly standing! Until now, dancer's legs and cardio dance classes have been my go-tos for travel but that doesn't seem like the best option for me right now.

You asked what we would like to see more of, I liked the work out with no props. I really did do a lot of sweating and lost a whole pound. I would also like to see more chest and my worst body part is my inner booty. At 63, it needs a lot of work as it has no definition.

Hi fam! Been at this m/body thing for a minute but never posted here so not quite sure if this is the correct forum or not. Please forgive my ignorance....But wondering if anyone has any tips for strengthening ankles. I have been doing barre and barefoot work for 15 years or so but in the last year my ankles have become weak. Lunges are a real struggle as my back ankle always starts screaming at me. Any tips y'all could share would be greatly appreciated!

Re-thinking some habits this morning as I’m slowly coming out of survival double newborn mode as my babies are 4 months (& big sister turning 3 this summer!). Needed a detox class & the first class of 2024 was the right fit this morning. Starting the week so energized & grateful & excited to see what this week/month/summer has in store! Happy Monday everyone!!
