Rise & Align Challenge: I am so excited to join my M/BODY Global Fam in another challenge! During the school year (I work in a school) and with my child’s current extracurricular schedule, I have been averaging 2 classes/week (but daily classes over winter break when I was off work felt fabulous). My goal for this challenge is 4 classes/week, and if I get 5 classes in a week I’m calling it a Badass Bonus.

I’ve successfully been able to strive for 60 workouts in 60 days in the past and even 5+/week in another former M/BODY Challenge, but I am aligning with my self-knowledge and understanding pushing for that will create stress in the process for me at this time. I want to focus on maintaining hydration, sleep, and follow the inward nature of winter so I can be ready for the energetic swing of spring without it feeling so jarring. I’ll be celebrating my 4th Marnieversary (Palentine’s class!) during this Challenge, and in these almost four years I’ve left an unhealthy marriage, been separated and divorced, and I made a friend who I intended to be just a special friend (and was sharing all about that FWB early on during a M/BODY girls weekend!). He has joined us for three Planksgiving classes and has gone from special friend to boyfriend to fiancé. Todd and I got engaged under the full moon on the 2nd of the month (Molly M’s bday)! It will be a long engagement as we are both parents and I promised my child during that awful separation a few years ago he will ALWAYS have a safe and peaceful home with me. While Todd has blended well into that, I am not ready to merge households. He has understood and respected my child will always be my top priority; we may wait a few years, or many years, but knowing we’re both fully invested in our partnership is special. I love how I can anchor into M/BODY during all of the highs and lows of life.

Due to my work schedule and busy family weekends I wasn’t able to catch a Live class to share this fun update until the start of our Challenge. Thank you for all of the kind words in that class! Cheers to everyone setting personalized goals for themselves this Challenge, and cheers to those who are catching classes when they can if a Challenge does not align with their needs this time around. Thank you Marnie, Katelyn, and M/BODY Team for creating this!

Hi everyone! Several of us were talking about ways to honor the upcoming 500th M/BODY Live class, and we are celebrating by posting reviews on the M/BODY by Marnie Alton app. It would be a perfect gift. Feel free to comment on this thread so more of us see it!

If you have an Apple or an Android, just go to the App Store and jot down why you choose to pay for this membership, what you love about this movement practice, or anything else about your M/BODY experience so we can spread the love!

Thanks for joining us in the community by giving the gift of a positive review so this beautiful platform can continue to sustain and grow for another 500+ classes. I can’t wait to dance with you all on the mat this Saturday! 🥳

(If you see this days or weeks after the 500th class, please still participate 😊)

When the form of the morning’s M/BODY Posture Perfect class is seen out in the wild: one leg forward, hips squared, soft face, getting the cake onto the table around some energetic and bouncy nine year olds. Probably dropping a cuss word in my mind with a ‘holy moly!’ said out loud. 😂

A few days ago I was on a 40th Birthday trip in Puerto Rico enjoying the GORGEOUS beaches and mountain hiking when a fellow #mbodyglobalfam member recognized a waterfall from one of my pictures and we realized we were *randomly* just minutes away from each other despite being hundreds of miles from our current homes! I was able to connect with this beautiful soul and her wonderful family (and lovely friends because when she’s back home everyone understandably wants to see her!).

Lizamary, thank you for making time for me to see you while we were both in paradise. Your light always radiates from the inside out. I love that this was our fourth time IRL (previously twice in New York City and once in Washington, DC). These in-person moments with M/BODY friends are so connecting, grounding, and fill my cup. ✨💫✨

For anyone new, Lizamary has been part of the online platform since the beginning and I always viewed her as the loving but protective godmother of the M/BODY crew. She is such a Badass Ballerina!

PS: Puerto Rico is an incredible destination (and would make the perfect tropical M/BODY retreat just saaaaaying)

M/BODY Challenge completed!

This June I embraced hopping around the board for classes to match my available time/energy. I set out to do at least 5 classes/week.

M/BODY classes, and certainly a Challenge Board, are the healthiest coping skill for me when life gets wild and I need to anchor into something while navigating some storms. 2025 has been hurtful to everyone I know for various reasons, and I have felt incredibly smooshed in the Sandwich Generation role of caring for parents and my kiddo. Thankful I’m not doing it alone within my family and circle, and thankful for the support that always is available within our #mbodyglobalfam.

I’m wrapping up this Challenge as I wrap up a decade and turn F-IN’ FORTY on Sunday! My 30s were a wild ride of joy, sadness, loss, learning, trying again, and hope. I wear it imprinted on my body from pregnancy, laugh lines, tiger stripes, and making all sorts of shapes. Thank you M/BODY for helping me strengthen my body, heart, and spirit and helping me welcome new unknowns with a little more balance and freedom.

Congratulations to my fellow Challengers and to those who knew this wasn’t the time for them but found their own schedule for movement and breath work, one great choice at a time. 🩵

Happy Holidays to all of you amazing, strong, capable, smart and getting wiser each day, brave, healthy Loves! Extra warmth sent to those who find this time of year extra challenging. It’s all valid and you matter. Happy early Birthday to Marnie and everyone celebrating a new trip around the sun. I loved being with you all during the Live class today, thanks for shouting out my own beacon of light, my mom Ramona’s birthday, on this winter solstice. Todd joined me for this fabulous Holiday class and wishes the fam a happy new year! Here’s a sweaty post class selfie, he wore the holiday PJs during class for extra thematic heat. 😂❤️‍🔥💚

I did it!
I completed a long-term goal of doing every single M/BODY class at least once, to date. I counted approximately 415 movement and meditation classes as of August 12, 2024 (since not all are numbered and not all were Live classes, and both times I counted I had slightly different numbers 🙈). I loved the experience of different lengths, different focus areas, different years, and the comments under videos that helped me plan for which class was best for that day. My list of “favorite” classes just kept growing. I completed on August 12th, wrapping up with class #394 (favorited!) and Intention Meditation #105.
I am so grateful for these classes created by Marnie and supported by M/BODY queens behind the scene/camera, and thankful for this #mbodyglobalfam community of support. I fell in love with this movement practice quickly (after severalYouTube videos and questioning if I could get through those PopSugar videos without so many breaks), then trying the platform and diving deep into it. I try to make the Live classes as much as possible, login as “desk crew” when I can’t join on the mat in that moment, and I feel healthier physically and lighter emotionally because of it. When personal life knocked me over, I was fortunate I was already anchored into this practice. We can turn to classes for our joyous celebrations, for shaking off BS, and for gentle stretches and releases to melt into when sadness and grief overwhelm. So many muscle shakes and (mostly happy) cuss words along the way, and yet to come. Thank you Marnie for creating this space, inviting us to take up space, and to all with whom I share this space (from my bedroom and living room to yours, across time zones and backgrounds).
I can’t wait to celebrate the 400th Live class this Saturday, and to continue moving through this life embodying healthy connections with myself and others. Cheers to anyone else slowly working on their goals, whether that’s at the barre or anywhere else in your life.

Sweaty and sandy post-work selfie (Ballet Glide class) Bursting with gratitude for the warmth and connections within the @mbodybymarniealton #mbodyglobalfam and the promotion of health, wellness, and dance this movement platform provides for me. Thank you for all of birthday wishes and all of the kindness shared. Sending hugs from the Atlantic Ocean (with my M/ovement ball and yoga mat of course). 🌊🩵🌊
