I'll be turning 45 next month and I feel like I'm still trying to figure it out too. When I hit 40 I physically felt older in my body. My best advice is take care of yourself and listen to your body. See your doctors for annual physical/wellness exams, stay hydrated and prioritize good sleep. M/Body has definitely made a difference for my overall wellness. The weight-bearing work has helped me maintain good bone density and internal wellness. Since starting M/Body my blood work has gone from good to great! I take calcium and vitamin D for bone health too. And moisturize your skin! At this point I'm not ready to do procedures but finding skincare that worked for me took some trial and error. I like La Roche Posay lotion for my face. And I've also started using Roc's firming serum stick on my neck and other spots that feel less tight, like my jawline. My mindset around working out has evolved. I don't have to do it - I GET to do it. And on days when I'm less motivated I think about Marnie saying the time is going to pass anyway. I want to spend my time doing something positive that makes me feel good and that's getting to the mat with M/Body 💜

I loved this grounded sweat! It was challenging in the best way. My blood was pumping, I worked up a sweat but I also felt so bendy and stretchy. I'll be coming back for more of this.

When we do hip lifts at the end of a signature class with one leg in the air. For the longest time I would make an attempt, biff it and immediately go back to two feet on the floor. The Marnie Mantra "It's about progress not perfection" got in my head and I have pushed myself to keep trying even though it's super hard for me. I'm still not great at them but I have made progress and that feels pretty great. So not in love, but loving seeing improvement in my ability.
