For me, my ritual includes using a space that’s reserved just for M/BODY in my bedroom with my iPad. It helps me to be in the right head space when I know this is my sacred workout area. I also keep the windows open so I can see outside while I am doing the workouts (it feels wrong now if they are shut!). I also do the same time of day: either 10am while my toddlers take a morning nap, or usually 930pm after the kids are in bed. Keep us posted on any rituals you find that you enjoy too!

I know exactly how you feel! With all the micro decisions we make each day, it feels sometimes so silly that choosing a workout can make me stall out haha. I do what a few others have mentioned and “pre choose” my workouts for the month and plug them in on the calendar on the app. It’s a cool feature. As far as which ones or how to choose those….I honestly just go with the length I want for the day and do randomized. I do best with the challenges too, ha, they are chosen for me. I hear ya….while autonomy is nice it is also nice to not have to decide one more thing!

Maybe a cool feature would be a premade workout guide: A month of workouts based on a specific need or theme…might be fun and help those of us with decision fatigue ha.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending prayers and hugs.

Hey Julie congrats on your new baby! I just did Ballet Sculpt and Stretch 534 and I could totally see that working for post pardon. It was 30 min. I’ve had 5 babies so I know what its like trying to get back into it! I started with all the 20 min workouts in the catalog and focused first on all the sculpt and stretch, especially the ballet focused because they tend to be slower but still have full power! Best wishes to you mama!

Yes I think this is more normal than you think. The causes of the anxious and intrusive thoughts are different, but you are not alone in that they are there! For me, on days when it feels heavier I do shorter workouts. So glad Marnie added the 10 min express! If i am in the middle of a longer workout and the pushups or planks just aren’t happening (thats when its the hardest for me with the thoughts) I literally stop, sit back, and sip water until that part of the class is over. Haha and jump back in. No judgement, its just you and the screen anyways. Hang in there! Sending hugs.
