Deep breaths and meditation in complete quiet (or as quiet as I can get) generally work for me. This also happens sometimes when I am working out too. It could be a song or the pitch of the song- that is triggering something and I'll mute and workout in the quiet or stop and take a drink of water or go into a child's pose. Always coming back to the breath and the present moment asking my body- what does my body need right now in this moment so I can come back to peace. Also acupuncture to activate parasympathetic nervous system. Another trick I love is laying on a long foam roller vertical on the spine (it almost feel like balancing the spine resting your head to your tail bone on the foam roller while relaxing your arms to the side) with my feet up (calves resting on the sofa) for 7-9 min. I was on "desk crew" driving home from our Cali mini tour and after 2 days of 8 hr drives in some heat, I was feeling a little agitated, but hearing Marnie's voice and seeing you guys on the live made me feel better. Today I finally got to do this workout in my own home and was lovin the short sweatiness of this weighted core workout. Always love the hip hop tunes! And the reminder to write out my intention for the community board. Pen to paper! Looking forward to participating in that as well.
