Sending love and healing Leslie šŸ’— I’m sure you’re hearing it from everyone and I know it’s frustrating, but rest much as possible. Every body is different, but I’ve found that to be the quickest way to healing. You *will* get your strength and mobility back. Give yourself and your body what it needs right now.

1. Rise up/ 197 or hip hop sweat /167

2. Gratitude meditation or any of the ā€œfocusā€ videos. Sometimes making it to the mat is a challenge, so making 20 or 30 minutes for myself always makes me feel better.

3. Any of the pride signatures or sweats!

4. Letting go mediation or any of the ā€œstretchā€ videos. Typically if I’m in this state I choose low impact options and slow down the tempo to focus on my breath, feel every inch of my body, and be ✨kind✨ to myself to activate my parasympathetic nervous system.

5. The Barbie signature is a newer fav and definitely brings the energy!

Playing at this one as if I was an absolute rockstar who could do ANYTHING I set my mind to helped me get up and go at it each 4 set of 8 (even I chose a mod), and then feeling emotional forĀ accomplishing what I set out to do... and then actualĀ tears for everything the M/body family really is. Here's to the next 300 <3

The FIRE on this one. A true sweat and true testament to staying connected to your body throughout. "Last 8 Alyssa" during that plank series was just what I needed to get through on the replay in this summer heat.

This powerful, connective class still hits. Even a year after and especially with everything still going on in America. An essential Signature. Thank you M/BODY fam.

So my goal for the week is simple, but a hard one for me- and that’s prioritizing sleep! My goal is to journal and get in bed by 10pm for at least 5 out of the next 7 days. Phone in the other room. Pink noise on. Hoping this will help in several areas of my life šŸ˜‚

And a moment of gratitude and joy: the first 10 days of this challenge have been like a body mind reset for me. Like every day is taking me back to principle I thought I mastered, and showing me I can trust my body even more and lean more into intention. Ex: pulling energy from the earth in wide second and just feeeeeeling it all the way up my body, or pushing the earth away in planks and discovering a new feeling of support through my arms and back. I’m just blown away, and so so happy.

Hey challengers! This came at the perfect time. I had an emergency appendectomy about a month ago, and I’m working to be more intentional about rebuilding my physical and mental well-being. So I’m committing to 60 days, and allowing myself to choose active recovery with stretch/ flows/ a good walk when I need it. 🄰

Here are my goals!

  1. Complete 4 sets of 8 during the plank and core series, choosing modifications that make me feel the most connected to my body and the moment. (*My inner monologue tends to take over and tell myself ā€œI cannot,ā€ but I’ve grown confident in my toolbox and my ability to tune in to where my body is at and what it can do today.)

  2. Focus on my breath work, especially into my pelvic floor, and allow my hips to loosen up. My hips could use some extra love and release.

  3. Read 10 pages of a self- improvement or drama therapy book everyday. šŸ“–

Thanks for everyone sharing their goals! They’ve been so inspiring to take in šŸ’—
