This was every bit of a POWER SCULPT class - I used a mix of hand weights and wrist weights to go more than my usual but not at Marnie's level of 15 pounds (and that's okay!). I focused on my breath for lifting and felt serious core work. My arms and shoulders and back were strengthened, but the next day somehow my legs (inner thighs and hamstrings) were really feeling worked, which surprised me!

THIS is the class for when you need to engage in the brain work with the body work - your mind simply cannot be anywhere but here with your body for the slight variations of the choreography. I agree with Mali Perl below about the visual of the arm stretch after handweights from the back- so helpful! I was warmed up, sweaty, and feeling strong from this class. A lot of wide second stretches, ball used at the barre and floor work on the mat. I think my entire body will be feeling this one!

Such a beautiful elegant balletic flow for this all standing class, where the only low impact options are the brief warmup where you can add a bounce. The class itself is pulses, gorgeous leg lifts that sculpt legs and booty and the dancer's arm positions that offer increased heart rate and graceful frames. I continue to work on keeping my hips centered and not one side popping up or turning out during this lovely barre flow.

This wonderful class was sweaty, sculpty, and had a flowy stretch woven through. It brought elegance and power, and had me dig deep to drop my hips lower in various standing choreography and lift my leg higher on the mat. Marnie explains it after, but the optional ankle weights are meant to go on when we first move to the barre (this isn’t stated in that moment so know in advance it’s a choice). I loved the balletic flow, even as we move to some classic M/BODY jams as well as an April 20th homage and then all up in Taylor Swift’s new releases (unedited music in class with all the adult lyrics). The energy is JOY and POWER and RELEASE and FLOW. A new favorite and I can’t wait to try it with ankle weights when I revisit!

In this sweat class the movements are quick and so can be the changes (use the pause/rewind buttons as needed!). It does invite the option for jumps and bounce in the first warmup cardio dance before we get to the hand weights (brief time with weights). Almost all standing; you need room for gorgeous long leg extensions behind your barre/stable surface. The goal of being low with a bend in standing knee and keeping hips level were my thoughts throughout. The barre series includes some back lunges and a few times we are up and down on knees at the barre, so have a padded surface ready if that helps you feel comfortable. Great sweaty class with some SERIOUS burn in the legs and glutes - loved it!

Okay, okay this class was an incredible work of the booty and legs in particular. My gluteus medius is still burning the next day, which feels amazing. It is a class to dig into that fire and see what you can do with a playful and open mindset. I found the mismatching leg warmers to be very helpful in guiding left/right leading leg. Thank you Marnie for creating these unique and wonderful classes!

Perfect M/ovement ball class! This class echoes the message of new beginnings, new opportunities. It brings serious burn and shakes to the legs and glutes, with a traditional Signature class choreography (standing warm up cardio dance with some jump options, leg work, arm weights, more standing work with the ball and at the barre, down to the mat for some push-up and plank flow, then more core work on our back and targeting the glutes with bridges). A lot of 4 sets of 8 to bring the mental focus and muscle heat and burn. My legs were so sweaty it was difficult to keep the ball behind my knee at the barre, but that just adds to the meditative focus of class.

Hello standing leg burn and tendu leg stretch- whew! This is a ballet-centric class that had a love child with a towel dance class, and I am here for it! It was a challenge, but felt more accessible to me than many of the towel dance classes. Class is all standing, but you need a stretched and reaching leg’s space of clearance in a circle around you. I rolled up my rug and used fuzzy socks on hardwood floors since I don’t have gliders. Anaerobic heat and sweat building, with no jumps or bounce. The moves required my focus and Marnie’s form guidance throughout was helpful and also required my focus to aim for proper form.
