Yā€™all, I just spent a full week at the beach with my whole familyā€”husband, sisters, nieces & nephew, dad, step-momā€”the whole crew and I had such a fun time but I didnā€™t hit the mat a single time! So instead of beating myself up about it Iā€™m just turning my 60-day challenge into a 67 day challenge and keeping it movingā€”hitting the mat for the first time in a week today! Missed being here, happy to be back!

Happy 30 days into the challenge yā€™all! I think this is my first challenge Iā€™m actually doing all the way through because I just have the time/energy right now and Iā€™m having a lot of fun! I donā€™t go in order, I just pick whatever length/intensity works for me that day and write it down to keep track until I collect them all :) canā€™t wait to sweat with yā€™all for the next 30! <3

I have never been a consistent journaler, feeling like I need to relive my days on paper always just made my hand cramp and gave me a strange anxiety but I started reading ā€œThe Book of Delightsā€ by Ross Gay last month which is a beautiful book of essayettes he wrote based on keeping a list of his daily delights for a yearā€”so I was inspired to start my own little book of delights which has turned into just a bullet journal of gratitude, things that bring me joy in the day to day and Iā€™m loving this format so so much. I hope you all find moments of delight today and everyday, they are always there whether tiny or massive or few or flowing <3

I donā€™t think the point is to hit everything full out everytime, itā€™s hard sometimes to feel like you ā€œshouldā€ be keeping up because Marnie is crushing it, but she would be the first one to tell you to listen to your body or modify! Sometimes on a last 4 sets of 8, Iā€™ll do one setā€”drink a sip of water for the second and then jump back in for the last one or two sets, every day is different and all that matters is that you have fun with it and keep coming back to the mat in whatever capacity you are able to knowing the strength and endurance will build with time!

Either my cat or dog always ends up next to me for the stretch sequence, idk if itā€™s because Iā€™m on the ground or if they just love Marnieā€™s energy šŸ„¹šŸ’–
