Some of you may know/remember, a few years ago I struggled with an almost debilitating fear of flying. I lost weight, couldn't eat, barely slept... M/body was an incredible resource for me through all of this, a safe landing spot for my anxiety. I carry so much of what we chat about in class with me when I'm afraid, btw. Fast forward to present: this morning, I watched both of my kiddos take off on a cross country flight to "Grandparent Camp"  as unaccompanied minors for the first time. They've since landed and everything is well, but it was a HUGE and hard thing for me to allow, given my own history of fear. I practiced so much intention around this event, from breath work, to reasoning, to staying active. Last week, I serendipitously did a workout where Marnie talked about the "white light of safety" her mom used to send her off with, which was a wild coincidence. I FELT this deeply watching my kiddos board the plane today. While quiet tears did come once my kids were out of sight, ultimately, I was ok, and Marnie's words felt like an invisible hug. So maybe my biggest intention for the rest of this month is bravery. The idea that I don't have to remove the fear, but practice the correct response to it. Wishing the same intention for anyone with similar challenges 🫶 (and thank you all for bearing with Amanda's Story Time)

This class is perfect. It's a sprint for your arms/upper back/ posture, and excellent for my hyper mobile shoulders (a recent discovery, which sheds light on why I can't progress quicker on pushups). Also, a massive vote for M/BODY gloves that say "soften" for two reasons. 1) my hands get so sweaty during these classes and at the end I almost unintentionally threw my 5lb dumbbell across the room 😂 2) during all of this work, I'm always gently reminding myself to soften into things and preserve the energy for intentional parts of the body. "Soften" is the perfect word for this work, IMO. Love this class. Thank you so much!

LindseyJ said it so well. It's a kind class. And personally, it feels like all of my favorite moves were included. I still, after 6 years, struggle with pushups. However, the rolling ones (not a long segment) in this class feel accessible, because the phases of this workout flow from upper to lower and set you up for support in that move. The cardio is wonderful too, broadway kicks are the best. Enjoyed this one!

I've had such a disconnected summer. I suppose I didn't realize it until the end of this class, that I've been running and numbing. And I've been doing that in my workouts, my nutrition, my work. So, I've called into my life clarity and choice. Thank you for giving me an unexpected space to do this. Caught this in the playback, but what a powerful emotional place. Also, this green outfit is giving growth and joy. Any link for those leggings? And, as a 36 year old (loved the age sharing at the end) who's not feeling in her power, it's so nice to be reminded each day is a new space to allow for honesty and a response to where you find yourself.
