Dearest M/Body Family near & far,
I wrote a novel, US FOOLS —A tragicomic, intimate American story of two precocious sisters coming of age during the Midwestern farm crisis of the 1980s.
This process has indeed been humbling; and like any endeavor—motherhood, to opening a small business, to artistic—in one way or another it’s a retelling of the Little Engine That Could. You all know this feeling !
The book is now available for preorder. For signed copies you can order from LA’s beloved Skykight Books https://www.skylightbooks.com/pre-order-signed-copies-us-fools-nora-lange
It’s also available for preorder from Bookshop.com, Amazon, Barnes & Powells. Please consider asking your favorite local bookstore to carry the book. Sign me up for your bookclub, I’d be over the moon to chat about the book.
The book launch will be in LA, at Skylight in Los Feliz, on September 17, that’s the day it officially comes into the world. After that, I’m headed to McNally Jackson in NYC, and …

Hi there Marnie Family,

Here’s my other kind of “move” question: My small family of 3 are relocating back to LA from Portland & we’re looking for a place to call home. I’ll be staring at a design firm in Silverlake (motet design) and my partner teaches Creative Writing at CSUDH. Hoping to move asap. We’re honestly open to a variety of arrangements as we settle back in. I’d say our priorities are *location, preferably east side ; *quality & charm, i.e - not a dump.

I love you movers & shakers & I hope to see you sometime in the flesh.

Kindly, (my email is below),

Nora Lange, Nick Bredie, & Sylvia Rainer (our wee-one)
