Dearest M/Body,

I wrote months back about my debut novel Us Fools launching into the universe on September 17 and now itā€™s been here. I wanted to say thank you to this bright and shining community, which I joined back at the start of the pandemic and which has seen me through that rough patch, election cycles, wild fires, giving birth to my daughter (now 2), and to this novel. Forgive me for the self-centered nature of this note, but if I donā€™t pause to share then I will not be honoring myself, which feels antithetical to Marnieā€™s philosophy. So, here I share some recent news about the book and hope you feel compelled to pick up a copy from your local bookstore, check out a copy from your library, or have your library order one of they donā€™t carry it yet, even listen to it on Audible, or wherever you see fit.

Sending love to all, sincerely,
Nora

Dearest M/Body Family near & far,
I wrote a novel, US FOOLS ā€”A tragicomic, intimate American story of two precocious sisters coming of age during the Midwestern farm crisis of the 1980s.
This process has indeed been humbling; and like any endeavorā€”motherhood, to opening a small business, to artisticā€”in one way or another itā€™s a retelling of the Little Engine That Could. You all know this feeling !
The book is now available for preorder. For signed copies you can order from LAā€™s beloved Skykight Books https://www.skylightbooks.com/pre-order-signed-copies-us-fools-nora-lange
Itā€™s also available for preorder from Bookshop.com, Amazon, Barnes & Powells. Please consider asking your favorite local bookstore to carry the book. Sign me up for your bookclub, Iā€™d be over the moon to chat about the book.
The book launch will be in LA, at Skylight in Los Feliz, on September 17, thatā€™s the day it officially comes into the world. After that, Iā€™m headed to McNally Jackson in NYC, and ā€¦

Hi there Marnie Family,

Hereā€™s my other kind of ā€œmoveā€ question: My small family of 3 are relocating back to LA from Portland & weā€™re looking for a place to call home. Iā€™ll be staring at a design firm in Silverlake (motet design) and my partner teaches Creative Writing at CSUDH. Hoping to move asap. Weā€™re honestly open to a variety of arrangements as we settle back in. Iā€™d say our priorities are *location, preferably east side ; *quality & charm, i.e - not a dump.

I love you movers & shakers & I hope to see you sometime in the flesh.

Kindly, (my email is below),

Nora Lange, Nick Bredie, & Sylvia Rainer (our wee-one)
