I didn’t have a chair with a low enough back so I used my barre. It was a good class, very challenging.

Not particularly for me, thanks!

Yes please, I loved it! Very challenging workout and also quite different from others and it´s great to have that variety, thank you!

It was one of my favorite workouts ever! 😍I thought it was so thoughtful of Marnie to purchase and use a normal chair so she knows what many of us are working with. It was a love letter to my lower back as well as my hips. Loved that it was mainly low impact and the moves were so much fun. With barre workouts, my feet often hurts when I have to rest it on top of the chair because it isn’t rounded, but there were no moves like that with the chair workout. PLEASE keep them coming, it was fire! 💥

I loved the Chair Dance class from Saturday! It was refreshing to play with familiar moves in an unfamiliar way. I would totally love to see more classes like this. Very cool. Thank you.

I have a love-hate with chair dance workouts. Safety for me is #1 when working out, so I can sometimes be a little hesitant or anxious when trying a semi-unfamiliar tool. This chair dance was challenging in a good way, both mentally and physically--I'm still sore!--but I do wish that some aspects of it had been slowed/broken down a little more so I felt more confident/comfortable throughout. I would love a foundational chair class in the future: something that breaks down moves in a step-by-step way that we'll incorporate and build upon in future chair classes, if they become more frequent. I don't know if chair classes will ever be something I'll want to do all the time, but it is fun to see the new challenges that can come from a new tool! And future classes will allow me to see which of my home chairs work best, too :)

I loved it. Can you send us a link for the chair Marnie used.

Love it! It was a challenge, but it seemed to really strengthen my back. I liked the push-ups and planks better on the chair! And the stripper moves! 😂

Being honest…this class wasn’t for me. My chair is not the right dimensions and sadly my house is too small to get another. I had to skip a lot of the class, and didn’t enjoy it as much as if the moves would have been equipmentless. I do a lot of the classes outdoors, when travelling and in small spaces, and I find this versatility very empowering - but equipment limits that. What I love about M/BODY is not having to rely on anyone or anything. The most beautiful thing about M/BODY classes (why they are my exercise religion!) is that I can dance with my whole body, move from my head to toe without cramping my muscles, pump my blood in minutes, but this class felt a little less true to the essence of M/BODY as it was 45 mins of reliance on a big external object. I already have the balls, weights, table for barre, but using the chair for this long didn’t serve me. Also, it was really hard not being able to see Marnie in front of me for the complex moves. Hope this truth resonates xx
