LP is such a fabulous baddie! I love the teamwork at M/BODY and how Marnie, Katelyn and Lauren are making it happen while Marnie heals. This class was a fun 45ish minutes and a personal welcome back to the mat after a brief illness break. I loved the barre choreography sequences and all of the tucks and hip circles we did throughout. I felt stretched along the inner thighs, glutes, and core (abdominals and back muscles as we work to maintain that dancer’s form while moving legs even if it means the movements are much smaller in range). The rolling pushups were brief but mighty, as was the abdominal work with the support of the movement ball behind the lower back. During the Live someone beautifully commented M/BODY is “joyful healing” and it is SO true! Physically and emotionally so powerfully healing and strengthening.

This Planksgiving class brought accessible plank dances that call upon your strength but reminds you “oh yes you can!”. I took this class Live with a slower pace and less bounce due to illness, but it still felt great. I couldn’t help but add in some extra hip circles and tucks with this badass playlist. We use hand weights for a few minutes and my knees always feel better with the Movement ball squeezed in between for the moves where we kneel on the mat. I am incredibly grateful for this movement practice, this platform, and this lovely supportive community.

Beautiful activation of arms and shoulders throughout the entire class. Our core is involved in stabilization more than lots of crunches here. Yes arms and core/abs but we incorporate so many leg extensions that my leg muscles felt elongated and stretched and my booty (medius especially) was feeling it too with our one leg side plank extension movements. Anaerobic heat and work. This is all down on the mat but we are still very much working. Marnie uses 5 lb weights, I used my 3 lb. hand weights and added wrist weights (this was great for dropping the hand weights at one point and picking them back up while still working with some weight).

Echoing everyone: baddie LP demonstrating the choreography was both inspiring and relatable. Seeing/hearing Marnie’s form guidance and corrections to check the entire time is HELPFUL. It’s helpful in the now and for me to keep in mind when I revisit other classes. Love a peek at the old studio days! This class: cardio dance felt longer but was fun, weights felt shorter but were felt nonetheless. This was a leggy leg muscle class between wide second pulses on the mat and a lot of parallel relevé at the barre. Love my Movement ball under my neck and back when down on the mat. Hours later I feel like the muscles lining my entire silhouette are activated and I’m reminded we did a lot of long side stretching moves in the first part, obliques and lower back on all 4s, and strengthening rolling pushups/Mtn climbers. Super activating class!

Banana outfits remind you this shit is bananas and you will be sweating. Fabulous 45 Signature; having LP as the special guest is a great opportunity to hear and see form corrections as we move.

I wasn't sure what class to do today, so went with a Planks + Pushups and it was a challenge all over again - whew! The quote I included in my first comment of this class still resonated deeply today.

I was able to pop in as 'desk crew' for most of this Live and finally got to this a few days later. I was surprised at the calm it provided; is that the connection with breath? The medicinal practice of getting to the mat for any M/BODY class? The fact the pelvic floor is this creative space that holds and carries and does magical things but can receive so much negativity (especially for those who have experienced pregnancy and labor)? Who knows, but this class felt grounding (it's all down on the mat), somewhat warming but not sweaty, slower paced, very internal in awareness of the muscles we are working (my glutes wanted to participate). Fabulous for low-energy days, healing from illness (or bullshit from an ex or other toxic interaction), or for calming. Thank you for the variety of classes in our beloved M/BODY catalog!

Warming, intentional yogic flow with some lingering holds the first few times and more quick flow after understanding the sequences. A lot of side body work and lengthening stretches. Great release-focused meditation at end of class. Class is on the mat as well as moving from standing to lowering and back again in the choreographic sequences. This felt great on a Sunday evening.

I had this class marked as played in my catalog, but I hadn't commented, so I wanted to return to it and remember it. This class is 2/3 standing and 1/3 down on the mat, with lots of core twists to wring out and hip stretches to let out. It had me a bit sweaty and breathing deeply, feeling stretched all over at the end of class. The messages sprinkled throughout are lovely. I love honoring Marnie's birthday at the end! ❤️

Revisited this class today-  "You're most beautiful, elegant, elongated, taking up space badass self...like you're moving through honey, slow, that's that beautiful barre burn..." "This [leg] is on fire, that's on purpose." Marnie describes it so well in this class, but all I could think of for this class was "relevé all day." Powerful!
