Beautiful low-impact quickie - stretch and sculpt class at the barre. All standing (except for end of class stretch finishes on the mat) and only did about 3 minutes of weighted arm work, but postural arm work was throughout class. If you need something to move your body with graceful strength, that is not bouncy or cardio intensive, and/or need all-standing, do this perfect pocket size class!

This was indeed a marvelous restorative flow class. This is great for nighttime; I was able to do this with my mom at night, surrounded by the circle of white lights and a few candles, and it was exactly what was needed after a busy and rainy day. 🩵

The class itself was about 45 minutes, but Marnie goes into an impromptu Q&A making this video appear longer. It was a serious challenge and burn- so sweaty!! My feet and calves were FEELING it and a short cardio burst in the middle was a relief. I used fuzzy socks on hardwood floors. Definitely towel-dance inspo as Lindsey J shared. So much room for growth and progress here- a beautiful challenge to take on and know others are with you in the “whoa” experience.

Abs and glutes, abs and glutes!! Serious core work, feeling stretching and lengthened in between my ribs, legs feel lengthened but the hips and all parts of booty were WORKED! No equipment, lots of bouncy options, standing and mat work. Use of body weight felt impactful, even without hand weights. Such a great abs and ass class!

Ruhdan Doujon you’re welcome! M/BODY posted the complete playlist of suggested songs in a Community Board post. This playlist is much longer than the class playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4mzTChk2iEQwBoybvOTKS4?si=gVWb6B0nRsmMnxA8roLBBQ&pi=u-iEAq2HarTQ-V

Whew! This class brings so much strength, so much center line stretch and sculpt, and lots of holding ourselves up and supporting our own body weight to strengthen ourselves and remind ourselves we can, in fact, carry ourselves. We have everything we need.

Hi Ruhdan! In the Spotify app, go to the search bar and type in “Marnie Alton.” Click her profile and her M/BODY class playlists are accessible there.

This Signature class maintains a quick pace, moving through sequences and changes with some speed. I paused and re-wound a few times to be sure I was not missing it. Serious leg work and overall core/trunk work throughout. A Signature mix of all the parts and pieces. Ball is used under the foot at the barre and under the knee, under the foot, and in between knees and ankles on the mat. Great playlist and great quicker paced class to build up the energy level!

Ohhh this barre-using standing and down on the mat class blended some rhythm dance moves of arms and leg, wonderful barre work (including fairy jumps!) (barre work standing and on the mat using the barre), and serious pilates work on the mat. My legs, glutes, and core are on FIRE. While my rhythm dance moves belong in the privacy of my home, I love how it keeps our hips mobile and feeling great.

This all standing class brings the aerobic and anaerobic qualities, marrying stretch and strength (as Marnie says). I was feeling my heart beat throughout class, and seeing the sweat glisten on my legs during the final stretches. This class felt like a Signature (with a focus on chest opening) but ended before we would move to the floor for that second half of a 60 Signature class. It finishes with a calming brief meditation. This class marks my 2 year M/BODY Anniversary (same with Jessica G with whom I share this Marnieversary) and I was thinking during class: damn, I'm still challenged after all of this time. As always, I'm filled with love and gratitude for all of this beautiful movement, healthy body and mindset, and #mbodyglobalfam community.
