No impact, high sweat, intentionally paced, serious thigh work (hamstrings and inner thighs especially). You need space all around for some lunges, forward knee lift or kick, back leg lifts (arabesque) and your mat for some choreography combinations that have you up and down before bringing it all down to the floor. Arms and shoulders are worked too with our own body weight, but there are built in rests for wrists. Glutes and side glute work too- full body as always, but ooooh my thighs!

Day after: low abs and side glutes, low abs and side glutes! Wow this class WORKED me more than I realized (which I love- thank you!) โค๏ธ

A wonderful arm and shoulder class that allows for growth to move from aiming to not dropping your arms to adding more weight. By the time we were kneeling on the mat, my triceps were speaking to me. It is mostly standing, no impact (shake out option in warm up but that's it), and just down to the mat on our knees (which can be done standing as Marnie says). This was great for a quick 20 or to add-on. Certainly felt the muscle engagement but I did not get very sweaty (if you need to exercise then rush out somewhere after).ย

Perfect low-impact barre class, which really strengthened and awakened postural muscles, opened the chest, and the work at the barre had my legs and glutes on fire. We stand on our ball, so have the right size and inflation/deflation air amount for your one foot standing chaos of feeling your body and not numbing out. I added wrist weights to my hand weights for a bit more ooomph (Marnie used 5 lbs weights but notes 1 lb or no weight is good too) and that brought the challenge too. We end on the mat, but laying on our backs to incorporate leg lifts, crunches, and bridges. Great playlist with some upbeat 80s music mixed in as well.ย

Do you need a workout class (not just restorative stretch) but your energy levels are low and you need something that will meet you where you are, bring the anaerobic heat and sweat, but not try to shake and jump you into a higher energy? THIS is your class! It is an active class, but the energy is kind and gentle, with all standing moves, nothing too quick, bounces optional but no jumps. We use the movement ball under a foot, so consider if it needs a little less air or what will feel good. We grab the movement ball right after some warmup movements, so have it ready. Congratulations on TEN years of your own creation, Marnie! We are incredibly appreciative of these movements you choreograph, this platform (online extension of the studio you opened), and this community.

This was such a firey class that brought gorgeous strength and sculpt to the legs at the barre and a wonderful mat series for the front and back of the core and hips and glutes, moving with a graceful pace that is accessible although it brings that challenge. Wonderful pace overall - this was calming while also building energy for the day ahead. I love that intertwined strength of calm and energy!

Full body, implementing all of the equipment, quick pace to keep it engaging and flying by (slow practice to mark the choreography sequences so we understand and then itโ€™s off we go!). Simple but powerful muscle engagement throughout class. I loved the combos at the barre and on the mat. Soooo much to celebrate and look forward to! The closing meditation encapsulates M/BODY beautifully- love!!

Holy leg burn! This was igniting and burning the muscles, not shaking them, but wow those 3 lb. ankle weights felt like so much more than 3 lbs. This was a great leg and hip stretch, and I felt it into my core and back as I elongated. No bounces or jumps, just pulses, and 100% all standing.ย

This Signature class felt like home. It feels warm, it feels familiar even though it was my first time doing this class, it moves quickly but is accessible with the reps and changes. It is sprinkled with invitations to shift negative thinking, letting go of thoughts that are not loving and helpful. It is a bright, cheery Signature class to call upon when you need 60 minutes to fly by. Lots of modification options included.

Quick changes keep your brain active and help your arms handle the work. Agreed with comments before me- when you need a quick class (30 minutes with quick changes) and want to feel the power of all you hold and what you can let go of, come to this dancer's arms class.
