Congratulations Natania! I had a C section and a VBAC. It definitely took much longer for me to feel any core engagement after the C section. Personally, I waited the recommended 6 weeks before doing anything more than walking, and started with gentle ballet workouts. Honestly, for core work I started by just gently engaging/tensing and releasing my abs for a few minutes every day while brushing my teeth. Ab work on the mat, on your back at first and with supports and modifications similar to pregnancy will likely help you build strength (it took me quite a while to be able to do a full sit up!)
