Sorry to read that but I'm glad you now have a full diagnosis and avoiding surgery would definitely be a plus.

Hi Emily!

Thank you for sharing this. I cannot say I've experienced intense back pain and I don't have scoliosis, however, my husband has on and off back pain since his childhood, and through the years, he's learned and is still learning to manage it.

The key is mobility. The more active (reasonably!) he is, the better he feels, so you're definitely doing the right thing. Also, working on correcting his posture while he stands, walks or sits at work is super important. I always remind him "belly in, shoulders down, chest to the sky". It was something a previous barre teacher of mine used to say, and it's one of my mottos now.

Also, the physiotherapist and osteopath are helping my husband as needed. Basically, it's something he lives with and has developped a whole set of tools for.

I hope this helps. The important thing is that you are taking care of it and with each day, you develop more tricks and adapt.

Hi Francesca! I particularly love class 304. It's 30 minutes and no equipement is needed, plus a small space is fine. I usually go for the 60-minute classes but this one does the trick! Safe travels!
